"Interaction with the world in one place" Developed by Interactive Items

At Expo Dubai, spectators were able to swipe through memories, visualizing the future of technology and the impact of big data, and artificial intelligence on different aspects of the world.

The DragonO installation fits into this hyper-technological environment as the only truly authentic hologram in all of EXPO Dubai. Cities of the future, DNA particles, and images that allude to the presence of artificial intelligence appear at the will of the viewer within the volumetric space.

Groups of students huddled around the display as if wanting to discover its secrets. Inside the impressive dome of the Russian pavilion, everything seems to be a fantasy. A giant brain rises from the center of the dome as a voiceover that explains the secrets of the human mind. An unforgettable experience to witness the future of tech and humanity.

Touchscreen Interaction

The Dragon's mind has information from the past, the present, and the future. Data visualization was enabled through the merge of software that transmitted information from device to device.

Scenes creation

A high degree of detail was applied in the texturing of the volumetric objects through a system of "shaders" and content designed by interactive items in TouchDesigner. A new technique was applied based on the colorization of the splines and not the texture itself. This added a higher level of detail to the volumetric environment.

Interactive Touchscreen

Those attending the pavilion could select between the different scenes thanks to a touchscreen user interface developed by interactive items that provided extended information on each of the chapters. As a new scene was selected, new volumetric content (hologram) appeared on the display perfectly synchronized with the touchscreen storytelling.
