A lightful trip into human nature and feelings

An intense and personal opera. An immersive scenario. The most advanced experimental audiovisual technology combined. A really rare fusion of factors and talents. Kiani del Valle, MONOM Studio and LedPulse together. In order to create an experience that opened the way to new ways of expression.
The performance translated del Valles choreography into what the creators consider a new medium for artistic expression - one that transcends traditional notions of framing and screen-based moving image in favour of the audience's immersion into a collective hallucination.
Choreographer, director and dancer Kianí del Valle premiered her work "La Luz", featuring the music of composer Ludwig Wandinger with the spatial sound direction of MONOM Studios director William Russell.

For this art piece we implemented a system that transforms point cloud information captured by Kinect Azure into volumetric content. It is the first time ever that this technique is used and perfected in volumetric holographic formats.
The system allows recording the volumetric material or performing in real-time with direct interaction of the actors inside the volumetric display.
We've also incorporated the Noitom bodysuit tracking system to bring the movement of Kiani del Valle's dance choreography to life in an unprecedented way.
This volumetric experience was integrated with a 4DSOUND instrument powered by 48 omnidirectional loudspeakers and nine subwoofers. It offers a flexible, intuitive control platform for artists from different performative disciplines to experiment and express their ideas in a new dimension.
As an integrated hardware and software system, 4DSOUND creates a fully omnidirectional sound environment, allowing for a flexible and intuitive control platform for artists of all disciplines. The sound does not come from speakers, but from independent physical entities located in the room.
The 4DSOUND system creates a social listening space where listeners and performers can interact and move freely to explore a new physical sound environment.
